Since 2019, AVIO Chile S.A. has offered aircraft maintenance and aircraft bonded storage services in Santiago, replicating the international quality standards of our Peruvian parent company. Our local specialists combine experience and dedication to ensure safe and efficient operations throughout Chile.

Year 2019

Foundation

  • AVIO Chile was founded on April 4th.
  • Start of operations providing services to our first clients: LATAM Airlines (Santiago) and JETSMART (Santiago/Concepción/Antofagasta).

Forced Pause

  • Obtaining the DGAC CMA 700 certification.
  • Temporary suspension of operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reactivation

  • Resumption of operations in July.
  • Resumption of services with LATAM Airlines and new customer SKY Airlines.
  • Strategic financial alliance with Tu Factoring S.A.

Technical Expansion

  • Certification for servicing Boeing 787 aircraft.
  • Implementation of compensation software and employer portal.
  • Acquisition of the first AVIO operational vehicle for platform service.
  • Start of maintenance operations for JETSMART.
  • Launch of the aircraft fuselage washing and interior cleaning service.
  • October DGAC grants Avio Chile a concession to provide third-party aircraft maintenance services at Arturo Merino Benítez Airport (SCL). 

Operational Strengthening

  • In January, we obtained the Platform Circulation Permit (PCP) granted by the DGAC for our technicians.
  • In March, obtaining Vehicle Access Permits (PAV) to operate vehicles within the platform, granted by DGAC.
  • Acquisition of a warehouse van for platform operations.
  • Implementation of an attendance registration system using geolocation.
  • April closing of operations for the client JETSMART (Concepción)
  • May close of operations for client JETSMART (Santiago)
  • Strategic alliance with Primus Capital S.A.
  • Strategic alliance with Banpro S.A. and Factoring Security S.A.
  • Strategic financial alliance with Himmel Factoring SPA
  • Odoo ERP Implementation

Optimization and New Services

  • Expansion of shift coverage for maintenance services.
  • Integration of new positions: Runner, Capacity Planner, and Team Leader into our operations.
  • In November, the Run-Up service for Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines on Boeing 787s was implemented.
  • April Termination of agreement with the General Treasury of the Republic.
  • The DGAC approved the implementation of stages 1 and 2 of our Safety Management System (SMS).

Consolidation and New Goals

  • The DGAC approved the implementation of stage 3 of our Safety Management System (SMS)
